Broadcasting Coordinator

UIW Mission

Position Summary
The Broadcasting Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all the video and streaming services for the Athletics Department. The Broadcasting Coordinator reports to the Athletics External Relations Manager.

Essential Functions

Job Duties

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook; software system(s) to capture, edit, and produce video content.
Operational knowledge of Tricaster, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
Knowledge and/or proficiency in various roles (technical directing, directing, producing, graphics, replay operation, camera operation, audio, etc.) as well as operating all associated equipment and software.
Familiarity with various video board operating systems and hardware (i.e. Daktronics). Knowledge of ESPN 3 and ESPN+ broadcast standards.
Strong multitasking and project management skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, teammates and individuals requesting content.
Working knowledge of the NCAA rules, guidelines, and principles.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.

Required Work Experience
One (1) year of work experience in one or more of the following areas: non-linear video editing, motion graphics, video lighting and composition, camera operation, graphics design, audio recording, video production, sports video production, or a closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field.

Work Hours
Business hours of Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm with flexibility; extended hours as required, including weekends, evenings and some holidays based on filming schedule of sports events.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 30lbs of video equipment; ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve equipment and effectively film.
Ability to push/pull equipment carts holding up to 45 lbs.
Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time for filming purposes.
Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage and film faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
