Officers investigate complaints and other situations, which fall within the jurisdiction of the Smith College Police Department. Interview complainants, witnesses, suspects and victims. Follow-up investigative leads, evidence, etc. Apprehend and arrest violators, seek out warrants for arrest, assist with the prosecution, prepare reports, compile evidence, appear and testify in court.</li><li>Patrol College grounds and properties via cruiser, bicycle, or foot while deterring criminal activity, and providing assistance to community members when necessary.</li><li>Responds to medical emergencies, disturbances, suspicious activity, and all other calls for service according to established policies and procedures while investigating the incident and completing all necessary paperwork.
